Powertrain

Powertrain or even drivetrain includes all vehicle parts that provide the drive, i.e. that power/power is generated and passed on to the road. These components therefore include the engine (whether gasoline, diesel or electric motor), clutch parts, transmissions, differentials, axle parts, drive shafts, wheels, dampers and many more.

The engine — the heart of the vehicle

To measure cast parts, such as engine blocks and cylinder heads, a WENZEL coordinate measuring machine is used in combination with the REVO by Renishaw the perfect tool. Gearboxes can also be measured efficiently with this combination.

Also on offer: The SP25M — the world's most compact and versatile probe system for scanning — as well as the SP80 with long stylus inserts for a long range combined with highly accurate measurement performance.

The Geburte

Modern combustion engines have up to 9 gears, but more and more electric vehicles also have 2 gears or even more. As engine outputs continue to grow, so do the quality requirements for transmissions. We have been manufacturing gear measuring devices since 2003 and were able to create our brand new GT series present.
