Product information

The WENZEL GT series is the precise and universal solution for measuring gears and rotationally symmetrical components. It combines robust mechanics, maximum accuracy, and modern software in a well-thought-out overall concept. Granite bases and air-bearing axes ensure maximum stability and thermal insensitivity, while high-resolution scales and real-time compensation of the WPC controller guarantee accurate results.

The machines are available in various sizes with variable Z measuring ranges and different counterholder variants – ideal for applications ranging from small-module gears in the automotive industry to large-volume drives in mechanical engineering or wind power. With an optional counterholder, even shafts up to 2000 mm in length can be reliably tested.

A 12-year accuracy guarantee underscores the durability and investment security of the GT series. In addition to gear measurements, the integrated software also enables geometry and free-form measurements in a single clamping situation and offers comprehensive evaluations according to ISO, DIN, or AGMA standards. In combination with WM | Gear and WM | Gear Analyzer, the GT becomes a complete measuring center for profile, flank line, pitch, and bevel gear inspections.

Areas of application

The GT series is used wherever maximum precision in gear and shaft measurement is required – in the automotive and supplier industry, in the commercial vehicle and railway sector, in aerospace, in mechanical and plant engineering, and in the energy and wind power industry. It impresses from initial sampling to prototype development and process-accompanying quality assurance – for the smallest gears as well as large-volume components.

Software

The software of the GT series makes complex gear and shaft measurement easier and more powerful than ever before. It combines gear, geometry, and free-form measurements in a single clamping situation and offers maximum flexibility—from spur and bevel gears to worms and complex shafts. Parametric inputs, intuitive workflows, and import via standard interfaces such as GDE enable fast programming and efficient processes. In combination with WM | Gear and WM | Gear Analyzer, this creates a comprehensive digital ecosystem for profile, flank line, pitch, and concentricity analyses in accordance with international standards. The result: shorter measurement times, clear evaluations, and a software package that is just as precise and future-proof as the mechanics of the GT itself.
