A look inside - 3D computed tomography

Industrial computed tomography

A look into the interior of components of all types — and high-end measurement technology...

... that's what we show in today's video about industrial computed tomography. In our shop floor world, Christian Klostermann (Sales and service partner for NRW) presents three different CT systems.

The exAct S desktop unit; a small CT system with 130 [kV] acceleration voltage; for components with a size of 80 x 40 [mm].
The eXact L free-standing unit; with 225 [kV], well suited for hybrid components (plastic-metal connections) and for aluminum components in a size range of up to 230 x 400 [mm].
WENZEL's flagship, the eXact U, with up to 300 [kV] acceleration voltage and component dimensions of 300 x 700 [mm].

Pallet measurements increase throughput for initial sampling and process-related series measurement tasks

500 parts and more per scan are possible here. In today's example, we also show a pallet measurement of 16 plastic plates. With the best 4K resolution, the entire scan only takes 25 minutes. The complete evaluation of all 16 parts, each with 22 features, was completed after just 360 seconds!

Quick measurements with excellent scan quality — these are the computer graphs from WENZEL's eXact series!

Feel free to contact us if you need advice, support or contract measurement technology.
