SF 87 with CNC specialists

Klostermann Fulfilled with WENZEL SF 87 For a CNC technology professional in the 5-axis sector, there are several requirements: precision in measurement, integration into production and a convincing price-performance ratio.

The new measuring device from CNC-Technik Heil GmbH is in the middle of production, because it was developed exactly for this purpose: The SF 87 CNC coordinate measuring machine from WENZEL requires neither a separate room nor a compressed air connection. At the same time, it offers a high measurement volume and efficient measurement technology. “Our customer was looking for a flexible solution that not only allowed reliable measurement results but also their documentation,” says Christian Klostermann. He assisted Thorsten Heil with the purchase of his first own 3D measuring device.

Measurement technology close to production makes us more flexible and efficient. And to set up the device, nothing more than a power outlet was required - Torsten Heil, owner of CNC-Technik Heil GmbH

Uses

The SF 87 is a 3D coordinate measuring machine for measuring small to medium-sized production parts. Its compact design is a solution, particularly in the machining and forming industry, when precise measurement results are to be achieved. That's not the only reason why WENZEL implemented Torsten Heil's request: The device also offers the option of being retrofitted with additional sensors. For example, switching probe systems or optical laser line sensors are easy to retrofit.

As a result, the SF 87 offers diverse and sustainable applications. This is an advantage for Torsten Heil: As a specialist in 5-axis programming and milling, he exclusively produces prototypes for general mechanical engineering, including for aviation technology and the automotive industry. These parts are manufactured according to individual requirements and have the highest precision standards.

He bought the new measuring device in order to work more efficiently and more flexibly and to be able to carry out measurements himself in his production so that the parts do not leave his factory unchecked. This saves time for him and his customers to coordinate. With its integration into production, Christian Klostermann provided the decisive argument for the KMG SF 87. With its large measurement volume of 800 x 700 x 700 mm with a small footprint, the device is ideal for the requirements of Remscheid operations.
