WENZEL supports TTZ Marktheidenfeld

The financing of Technology Transfer Center (TTZ) in Marktheidenfeld was approved by the Bavarian Cabinet last week. Together with other large companies from the Main-Spessart district, we also supported the new research center. The TTZ is located as an institute of Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences (THWS) planned at FOS/BOS Marktheidenfeld. The focus is on research in the areas of Artificial intelligence (AI) and 3D printing (additive manufacturing).

Open network for science and industry
Sustainable digital and additive production has been an issue at WENZEL for years, both on the supplier and demand side. We are therefore looking forward to the future exchange with TTZ and think that both sides will benefit from the research results. Specific issues include new areas of application for series production using 3D printing supported by artificial intelligence. Or how future manufacturing technologies and operational processes can be made more sustainable. The aim is to save energy and raw materials, reduce costs and further improve product quality.

The topic of recruiting skilled workers via the TTZ is also of great importance and we think that the research center strengthens the entire region as an economic and educational location as well as in its innovative capacity.
