WENZEL measuring machines at AMB

Measurement solutions for the world of metalworking

Maximum measurement throughput and measurement flexibility with WENZEL coordinate measuring machines

WENZEL presents for you from September 13 to 17, 2022 innovative measurement technologies at AMB in Stuttgart in Hall 7/Booth A52. We offer you numerous solutions in the areas of coordinate and gear measurement technology, computed tomography and mobile measurement for the measurement room and the direct production environment. Our proven software products, in particular the WM | Quartis measurement software, enable convenient operation of our machines and increase the productivity of your production.

Ultrafast 5-axis measurement technology
The 5-axis measurement systems REVO of Renishaw in combination with WENZEL 3D coordinate measuring machines from LH series and the user-friendly WM | QUARTIS measurement software, provide unparalleled measurement speed and measurement flexibility while maintaining maximum system accuracy. The continuous 5-axis positioning of the sensor ensures optimal access to features in all angular positions. The 5-axis measurement technology increases measurement throughput, reduces downtime and enables manufacturers to comprehensively evaluate the quality of their products.
Using the active-head function, the fast scan movements are carried out through the stepless axes of the head, while the machine axes perform slower movements. This ensures reliable results even with large extensions and, thanks to the head touch function, fast single-point scans.

Professional quality assurance for gears, etc.
With the GT 300, we provide the smallest gearing measuring device in our GT series. Die GT series offers the right solution for your measurement task, for example in the automotive industry, through toothed workpieces and shafts, which are used in commercial vehicles, railway transmissions or construction and agricultural machinery, to the measurement of marine transmissions.
The GT 300 offers a measurement range of 300 mm in diameter for fast and effective analysis of gears and rotationally symmetrical components. Thanks to its compact design and small footprint, the gear measuring machine can be easily integrated into existing processes. Optionally, the GT 300 can be equipped with a counter holder for measurements between tips and can thus measure waves with lengths of up to 650 or 900 mm.

Industrial computed tomography: holistic volume measurement technology
We will also be showing our compact desktop computer tomograph eXact S. This is the ideal solution for volume measurement technology on small components. It fits on every desk and offers maximum performance in the smallest space. The high resolution enables detailed evaluations of even the smallest components, ranging from micro-measurement technology to micro-material testing.
With our Computed tomographs eXact S, M, L and U, we now have a very wide range of products. The use of computed tomography in measurement technology is very popular. Here we are seeing more and more application examples and also growing acceptance among users. This will further boost the market for industrial computed tomography.

Mobile measurement solutions as an ideal addition
A very good addition to our classic CMMs is the mobile WENZEL MScan handheld 3D scanner Dar. It enables fast and reliable measurements and is easy to use. The system enables location-independent and flexible measurement in the production and quality assurance process. The scanner can easily be used in demanding environments for complex components and is the ideal tool for reverse engineering and a wide range of industrial and medical applications.

VDMA Technology Forum: Digitalization in Coordinate Metrology
As a further highlight, Prof. Dr. Heiko Wenzel-Schinzer will speak on Friday, 16.09.2022 at 11:50am at the VDMA Technology Forum (Hall 1, Booth B50) on the topic of “Digitalization in Coordinate Measurement Technology”.

The industry's meeting place in the heart of Europe

Since 1982, the AMB The highlights of the international metalworking industry every two years. The focus is then on products, technologies, innovations, services and concepts for people who are passionate and passionate about metalworking. This makes it a marketplace, training program and network platform at the same time. Whether you're a visitor or an exhibitor, AMB has become one of the most important dates in the industry calendar over the years.
